Terms and Conditions for Motorcycle Rentals
1 General Provisions
1.1 This agreement constitutes a legally binding contract between the Company and the Customer.
1.2 The Customer agrees to use the rented motorcycle in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and these Terms.
1.3 The Company reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time, and such amendments shall become effective upon being published on the Company's website or communicated directly to the Customer.
2 Rental Eligibility Requirements
2.1 The Customer must meet the following criteria to rent a motorcycle:
2.1.1 Minimum age
- Be at least 22 years old for A2 license holders
- Be at least 25 years old for A license holders.
2.1.2 Possession of a valid motorcycle license:
- A1 license for 125cc scooters
- A2 license for motorcycles up to 35 kW (46 hp)
- A license for motorcycles exceeding 35 kW.
2.1.3 Possession of a valid motorcycle license:
- For at least 1 year for A1 license holders.
- For at least 1 year for A2 license holders.
- For at least 3 years for A license holders.
2.2 A valid passport or government-issued ID and a valid credit card or debit card that allows pre-authorization are required for the rental process.
2.3 The Company reserves the right to deny rental services if the Customer fails to meet these eligibility requirements or provides false or incomplete information.
3 Rental Rates, Fees, and Payment Terms
3.1 Rental Rates
Rental Rates are displayed on the website and the booking system.
3.2 Additional Equipment Fees
Fees for additional equipment are displayed on the website and the booking system and include amongst others: additional luggage cases, 2nd helmet, rider equipment, etc.
3.3 Additional Charges
Fees for additional charges are displayed on the website and the booking system and include amongst others: Sunday or national holiday pick-up/return, out-of-hours pick-up/return, private airport transfers, hotel delivery in Thessaloniki, etc.
3.4 Payment Terms
3.4.1 Payment for the rental, including any additional services or equipment, must be made in full prior to the start of the rental period.
3.4.2 Accepted payment methods include credit card, debit card, IRIS payments, or bank transfer.
3.5 The Company reserves the right to withhold the motorcycle until full payment is received.
4 Insurance and Liability
4.1 All motorcycles are covered by our “Smart insurance” option which includes:
- 3rd party liability insurance.
- 3rd party liability from fire and/or explosion.
- 3rd party liability within guarded premises.
- Damages from an uninsured vehicle.
- Damages from a faulty vehicle with foreign license plates.
- Damages from terrorist acts/political unrest/malicious acts.
- Fire.
- Accident care.
- Roadside assistance.
- Theft protection.
- Own damage coverage, subject to a €600 excess.
4.2 The Customer is liable for:
- Damages or theft not covered by the insurance policy.
- The €600 excess amount in the event of an incident.
4.3 The Customer agrees to notify the Company immediately in the event of an accident, theft, or any damage to the motorcycle.
4.4 The insurance does not cover:
Damage caused by negligence, misuse, or violation of traffic laws.
Unauthorized off-road use or participation in racing activities.
5 Security Deposit
A security deposit is required for all motorcycle rentals and must be provided by the renter before the rental period begins. The deposit serves as a guarantee for potential damages, traffic violations, or other liabilities incurred during the rental period. The amount of the deposit will be blocked on the renter’s credit card and will be fully refunded upon the safe and timely return of the motorcycle in its original condition, subject to inspection. In the event of damages, loss, or other charges not covered by the insurance policy, the corresponding amount will be deducted from the deposit.
6 Use of the Motorcycle
6.1 The Customer agrees to operate the motorcycle responsibly and in compliance with all applicable traffic laws and regulations.
6.2 Prohibited uses include, but are not limited to:
- Sub-renting or commercial use of the motorcycle.
- Exceeding the recommended load capacity.
- Unauthorized off-road use or participation in racing activities, demonstrations, festive parades, official or unofficial competitions, competitions of speed or skill, and related test runs.
6.3 The Customer is prohibited from making any unauthorized modifications to the motorcycle.
7 Mileage Policy
7.1 Each rental includes a daily mileage allowance of 300 kilometers at no additional cost. Any distance exceeding the 300-kilometer/day limit will incur an extra charge of €0.25 per additional kilometer.
7.2 The total mileage will be calculated upon the return of the motorcycle, and any applicable excess mileage fees will be deducted from the security deposit or charged directly to the renter.
7.3 Renters are encouraged to plan their routes accordingly to avoid exceeding the daily limit.
8 Maintenance and Roadside Assistance
8.1 The Company ensures that all motorcycles are thoroughly inspected and maintained prior to each rental.
8.2 The Customer is responsible for routine checks during the rental period, including tire pressure, oil levels, and fuel.
8.3 In the event of a breakdown, the Customer must contact the Company immediately. Roadside assistance is available 24/7.
8.4 The Company is not liable for delays or inconveniences caused by mechanical failures, provided the Company has fulfilled its maintenance obligations.
9 Rental Period and Late Returns
9.1 The rental period is as agreed upon in the rental agreement.
9.2 The minimum rental duration is two days (48 hours).
9.3 Late returns are subject to additional charges. For any delay exceeding 2 hours, an additional rental day will be charged.
9.4 The Customer must notify the Company in advance if an extension of the rental period is required. Extensions are subject to availability and must be approved by the Company.
10 Cancellation and Refund Policy
10.1 Cancellations up to 30 days before the rental start date: No fees apply.
10.2 Cancellations 30-10 days before the rental start date: 10% of the total rental fee.
10.3 Cancellations less than 10 days before the rental start date: 30% of the total rental fee.
11 Traffic Violations and Fines
The renter assumes full responsibility for any traffic violations, fines, or administrative penalties incurred during the rental period. All such costs must be settled directly by the renter and are not covered by the Company.
12 Pick-Up and Drop-Off
12.1 The Customer must pick up and return the motorcycle at the agreed location and time.
12.2 The motorcycle must be returned in the same condition as it was rented, with a full fuel tank.
12.3 Additional services, such as hotel delivery or airport transfers, are available for an additional fee.
13 Cross-Border Travel
13.1 Cross-border travel to neighboring countries is only permitted with prior written approval from the Company.
13.2 The Customer is responsible for obtaining any necessary documentation, insurance, or permits required for international travel.
14 Termination of Agreement
14.1 The Company reserves the right to terminate the rental agreement without notice if the Customer violates any of these Terms or engages in reckless or illegal behavior.
14.2 In such cases, the Customer forfeits any rights to a refund, and the Company may recover the motorcycle immediately.
15 Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
15.1 This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Greece.
15.2 Any disputes arising from this agreement shall be resolved through negotiation. If no resolution is reached, the dispute shall be submitted to the courts of Thessaloniki.
